Greetings from Walk Alleppey!

Updated: May 14, 2022

Once a busy port of the Travancore Kingdom, designed by the Raja Keshavadas (1745-1799) the Diwan of Travancore, is now left with deserted building which were once a commercial power house running various import and export business of Travancore during the reign of Dharma Raja Thirunal Rama Varma. Alleppey town has now become a gateway to the backwaters and houseboat tours only with a very few tourists coming out to explore the town and appreciate the history it beholds.

At Walk Alleppey, our effort is to showcase Alleppey town and its villages, the experiences you can have while visiting the town and its villages. Our aim is to provide as much local experience as possible which usually is missing when you take the houseboat tour and leave.

We do not say that the houseboats are not an important tourist activities to experience. Rather we are saying not to limit yourself with only one memory, when there are plenty of options available to explore the town and it surrounding villages.

Book one of our tours and enhance your visit to Alleppey.

Thanks
